Early access

VidLasso is free and invite only. Nothing is sold, and VidLasso never asks for payment details.

1. Ask for a spot with the Request early access form on vidlasso.com. It asks for your email and how you would use VidLasso.
2. Each request is read and approved by hand. When yours is approved, you get an email titled "Your VidLasso early access is ready". If someone invited you directly, the email is titled "Your VidLasso early access invite".
3. Your access belongs to the email address that email went to. Sign in with the Google account for that address, or choose Email me a sign-in link.

Getting started

New to VidLasso? The Getting started guide walks through your first day step by step. The short version:

1. Open your early access email and choose Sign in to VidLasso, or go to app.vidlasso.com.
2. Choose Continue with Google and pick the Google account for your invited address. No Google account for it? Type the address and choose Email me a sign-in link.
3. Connect your YouTube channel. You can add more channels later in Settings.
4. Let the first sync run. It brings in your recent posts, their numbers and comments.
5. Open Home for your briefing, then Inbox for reply drafts in your voice.

Connect YouTube

1. In onboarding, or in Settings under channels, choose Connect YouTube.
2. Pick the Google account that owns the channel. It can be different from the account you signed in with. Approve read access: VidLasso asks for youtube.readonly (your videos and comments) and yt-analytics.readonly (your channel's numbers).
3. If that Google account has several channels, pick the one to add. Repeat to add another.

Turning on replies

To send replies from VidLasso, turn on replies for that channel. Google then asks you to approve youtube.force-ssl. You can turn it off again in Settings; the Inbox then goes back to drafts you copy.

How often it syncs

• Your first 2 channels sync every day.
• Each extra channel syncs once a week, or every day for 1 credit a day.
• New uploads are noticed through YouTube's public upload notifications, so a fresh video shows up without waiting for the next sync.
• Owners and editors can press Sync now in Feed to refresh sooner.

Disconnecting

Disconnect a channel in Settings, or remove VidLasso from your Google account permissions. We delete that channel's YouTube data within 30 days.

Instagram

Instagram is open to early access testers. Meta still has VidLasso in testing, so we add each Instagram account you want to connect by hand. Put the usernames on the early access form (up to 5), or reply to your invite email with them.

1. Use a professional account

Instagram lets apps read posts and comments only for professional accounts (Creator or Business) that are linked to a Facebook Page. Switching is free and takes a couple of minutes.

1. Open Instagram, go to your profile, then Menu and Settings.
2. Choose Account type and tools, then Switch to professional account. Pick Creator or Business.
3. In Meta Business Suite or your Facebook Page settings, link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page you manage.

2. Accept the tester invite

Once we add you, your approval email has a Turn on Instagram section. Accept the invite once for each Instagram account you want to connect:

1. Open Instagram tester invites and sign in with the Instagram account.
2. Open the Tester invites tab and accept VidLasso.

3. Connect

In VidLasso, go to Settings, then Channels, and choose Connect Instagram. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Page and approve read access. Posts, comments and channels in VidLasso carry a YouTube or Instagram badge, so you can always tell where each one came from.

Still see Coming soon? That account is not on the tester list yet. Reply to your invite email with its username and we will add it.

Around the app

What each page does today. The sidebar shows only the pages your account can use.

Home

Your daily briefing: the one thing to know since yesterday, up to three tasks, and your totals. When there is nothing new, Home says so.

Notification bell

The bell lists everything waiting for you, such as comments that need a reply, each with a link to the place to act. The badge counts items that are new since you last opened it, and an item goes away once it is done.

Feed

Every post from your channels in one place, with how each one is doing against your usual.

• Filters: Platform, Channels, Date (last 7, 28 or 90 days, or all time) and Show only (Needs a reply, Below usual, Above usual, Has superfan comment). On a phone they sit behind the Filters button.
• Sort: Newest, Oldest, Most views, Most likes, Most comments, Best vs usual or Worst vs usual.
• A post with comments waiting shows how many need a reply. Open it to answer them right there, the same way as in the Inbox.
• Ask about this on a post opens Chat about that post.
• Activity lists recent events, such as drops, new superfans and mentions.

Inbox

Comments from all your channels in one list, newest first, each with a reply drafted in your voice.

• Tabs: Needs reply, Spam, Done and Skipped.
• Filter by platform, by channel (when you have two or more), or show only questions.
• Edit a draft, ask for a rewrite (Shorter, Warmer, More detail), send it, or skip it. Your edits teach VidLasso how you write.

Fans

The people who comment most, across your channels. Open a fan to see their recent comments, join two accounts that are the same person, or draft a thank-you to copy.

Chat

Ask about any channel, post or fan, for example "Why did this drop?" or "How is it doing vs my usual?". Answers come from your own numbers. Each answer uses 1 credit, refunded if it fails.

Optimize

A basics checklist for each synced YouTube video, with title and description suggestions and a target keyword from real search data. Copy the fixes you like into YouTube Studio. You can also check a title for free before you post.

Ideas and Research

Ideas suggests what to make next, based on your posts and the questions in your comments, and can write a script outline for an idea. Research looks up a keyword: monthly searches, competition, related searches, questions people ask and hashtags.

Analytics

Views, watch time, followers and engagement for a date range, with each post compared to your usual. Export the numbers as CSV.

Library

Photos and videos picked from your Google Drive, ready to build posts from. See Media library.

Feedback

Choose Feedback at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, open your profile menu and choose Send feedback. Pick a type, write what happened or what you want, and add a screenshot if it helps. Every note is read. WhatsApp channel, under Feedback, opens our channel for updates and tips.

Settings and Profile

Settings holds your channels and the MCP access tile for tokens. Your Profile lists the assistants connected to your account.

MCP for Claude and other assistants

VidLasso runs an MCP server, so Claude and other assistants that support remote MCP servers can work with your workspace. The assistant acts as you, in one workspace, with your role, your channels and your credits.

Connect with sign-in (OAuth)

Use this for Claude and any assistant that supports MCP sign-in.

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
2. Paste https://app.vidlasso.com/mcp as the URL and choose Connect.
3. Sign in to VidLasso if asked, pick the workspace on the consent page, and choose Allow.
4. Ask something like "What happened on my channels today?"

Connected assistants are listed on your Profile page, where you can disconnect them.

Connect with a personal access token

Some assistants only take a URL and a token. For those, create a personal access token.

1. In VidLasso, open Settings and find the MCP access tile.
2. Give the token a name, choose when it expires (30 days, 90 days, 1 year or never) and its scope: Read only or Read and write.
3. Copy the token. It starts with vl_pat_ and is shown only once.
4. In your assistant, set the server URL and send the token as a header:

Header: Authorization: Bearer vl_pat_...

A token belongs to you and one workspace. You can have up to 20 active tokens per workspace and revoke any of them in the same tile; a revoked token stops working at once. Workspace owners can see and revoke every member's tokens. Treat a token like a password.

What the assistant can do

The assistant sees only the tools for pages you can see in VidLasso, so your list may be shorter than this one. Tools that cost credits use the same amounts as the web app. Tools marked confirm ask you to approve first, and nothing is sent or scheduled without that. A Read only token hides every tool marked Write.

Media library

The library lists the photos and videos you can build posts from. Your files stay in your own Google Drive, so VidLasso does not keep a second library.

Google Drive

1. Open Connected apps and connect Google Drive.
2. In Library, choose Add from Drive. The Google Picker opens.
3. Select the images and videos you want. You can pick several at once.

VidLasso sees only the files you pick (the drive.file permission), never the rest of your Drive. Picked files stay in the library until you remove them in Drive.

Dropbox is not open yet. If you see a Dropbox tile marked "Not configured", that is why.

File types and copies

• Supported: JPG, PNG, WebP, MP4 and MOV. HEIC files show but cannot be used in a post; save them as JPG first.
• VidLasso copies a file only when a post uses it, to check it against the platform's rules. The copy is removed 7 days after the post is done.
• Nothing is ever removed from your Drive.

Credits

Credits only limit how much AI work each workspace uses in a month. They cannot be bought and have no cash value. Every workspace gets 150 credits a month, shared by all its channels. Reading your own data is free.

What uses credits

• The credits card in the sidebar shows what is left this month. Open it to see where credits went and what each action uses.
• When your balance runs low, VidLasso shows a notice. An action you do not have credits for does not run and uses nothing.
• If an AI answer or a drop explanation fails, or a platform refuses a reply, its credits come back.
