Getting started
Your first day with VidLasso, step by step: sign in, connect your channel, and find your way around. VidLasso is free and in private early access, so some features may not show in your account yet.
VidLasso is invite only. You get in after your early access request is approved, or when someone invites you. Your access belongs to the email address your early access email went to.
- In that email, choose Sign in to VidLasso, or open app.vidlasso.com/signin.
- Choose Continue with Google and pick the Google account for that exact address.
- No Google account for that address? Type it in and choose Email me a sign-in link, then open the link from your inbox.
The exact account matters. If you are signed in to several Google accounts, the browser may suggest a different one. Signing in with another address shows "VidLasso is in private early access." Go back and pick the approved account.
Connect your channel
After you sign in, onboarding asks you to connect at least one channel. You can add more later in Settings.
YouTube
- Choose Connect YouTube.
- Pick the Google account that owns the channel. It can be different from the account you signed in with.
- Approve read access. If that account has several channels, pick the one to add.
Instagram is open to early access testers. You need a professional account (Creator or Business) linked to a Facebook Page you manage. Meta has VidLasso in testing, so we add each Instagram account you want to connect as a tester first. Then, for each account:
- Open Instagram tester invites and sign in with that Instagram account.
- Open the Tester invites tab and accept VidLasso.
- In VidLasso, go to Settings, then Channels, and connect Instagram.
No invite there yet? Reply to your invite email with the Instagram username and we will add it.
More detail: Connect YouTube and Instagram.
VidLasso starts with read access only. Nothing is posted until you turn on replies and send one.
Your first sync
As soon as a channel is connected, VidLasso starts its first sync. You can leave the page; it keeps going.
It brings in:
- Your recent videos and Shorts.
- Their numbers: views, watch time, likes and subscribers.
- Their comments, which fill your Inbox.
Home fills in as the data arrives. A channel with a lot of history can take a while. After the first sync, VidLasso keeps your channels up to date by itself.
Home and the bell
Home is the page to open each morning. It answers one question: what needs you today?
- The one thing to know: the most important change since yesterday, such as a post doing much better or worse than usual.
- Tasks: up to three things worth doing, like comments waiting for a reply.
- Totals: your numbers across your channels.
When there is nothing new, Home says so. A quiet day is a good day.
The notification bell lists everything waiting for you, each with a link to the place to act. Its badge counts what is new since you last opened it.
Inbox and reply drafts
Inbox collects comments from all your channels in one list, newest first. Use the tabs (Needs reply, Spam, Done, Skipped), filter by platform or by channel, or show only questions.
- Open a comment to see the post it is on and the thread around it.
- Read the reply drafted in your voice. Edit it, ask for a rewrite (Shorter, Warmer, More detail), or skip it.
- Press Send reply when it reads right. A reply goes out only when you send it.
Your edits teach VidLasso how you write, so drafts get closer to your voice over time. Sending replies on YouTube needs write access, which VidLasso asks for the first time you turn replies on.
Feed
Feed shows your posts from every channel in one place, with how each one is doing against your usual.
- Filter by platform, channel and date, or show only posts that need a reply, are below or above usual, or have a superfan comment.
- Sort by newest, oldest, most views, likes or comments, or best and worst against your usual.
- A post with comments waiting shows how many need a reply. Open it to answer them without leaving Feed.
- Choose Ask about this on a post, for example "Why did this drop?", to get a plain answer from your own numbers in Chat.
- Activity lists recent events, such as drops, new superfans and mentions.
Send feedback
Early access is about learning what works for you. Every note is read.
- Choose Feedback at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, open your profile menu and choose Send feedback.
- Pick a type: Bug, Idea, Question or Praise.
- Write what happened or what you want. Add a screenshot if it helps, then send.
You can also reply to your early access email or write to [email protected].
For new features, tips for creators and early access news, join our WhatsApp channel. The channel is one way, so feedback still goes through the Feedback button or a reply to any VidLasso email.
