Facebook Pages

Facebook Pages are being added for early access testers. Meta still has VidLasso in testing, so we add each person who will log in with Facebook as a tester by hand. Put your Facebook profile link or username on the early access form (and, if you like, your Page links), or reply to your invite email with them.

What VidLasso reads

For each Page you pick: the Page's name, followers and daily views, its posts, Reels and videos with their numbers, and their comments. VidLasso asks for pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_read_user_content and read_insights to read, business_management to find Pages in your business portfolio, and pages_manage_metadata so Facebook can tell VidLasso about new comments as they happen. None of these lets VidLasso post, edit or delete anything.

1. Accept the tester invite

Once we add you, your approval email has a Turn on Facebook section:

  1. On Facebook, open Settings > Apps and websites > Requests and accept VidLasso.
  2. Meta developers can also accept it at Meta for Developers requests.

2. Connect

In VidLasso, go to Settings, then Channels, and choose Connect Facebook. Log in with Facebook and pick any Pages you manage; VidLasso shows each Page so you choose which ones to add.

Turning on replies and Reel insights

Replies and Reel insights are off until you turn them on. Turn on Facebook replies in the Inbox asks for pages_manage_engagement, so VidLasso can post the replies you approve, as your Page. Turn on Reel insights on Analytics or a post asks for pages_manage_engagement and pages_manage_posts, used only to list your Reels and read their plays, watch time and replays. Facebook replies are never sent by auto-reply; they always wait for you.

Removing VidLasso

Disconnect a Page in Settings. To remove VidLasso's access on Facebook too, open Business integrations in your Facebook settings and remove VidLasso. We delete that Page's data within 30 days.
